How do I schedule my flights and book a plane?
We use FlightCircle.com to manage all aircraft bookings. Create a free account and start scheduling flights.
How much does it cost to fly the plane?
All hourly fees are listed on the aircraft page at Flight Circle. Fees are paid at the end of each flight based on hours read off the Tachometer (rounded to the nearest tenth hour). The prices listed on Flight Circle are for cash/check. Credit/Debit card processing is available with an additional 3% fee. A 10% discount is offered when purchasing block hours of 20 or more.
How do I pay for flight hours?
There are three ways to pay for your aircraft flight time. You may pay by credit card held on account via the Flight Circle app (a 3% credit card/site service fee is added at the time of payment). You may pay by purchasing blocks of credits, with deductions from your account after each flight. Or you may pay by check. We recommend purchasing blocks of credits (1 credit = $1 and can be applied to any aircraft).
Does the hourly aircraft fee include fuel?
Yes, the club charges a wet-rate per hour for each aircraft. This includes fuel, oil, and other related expenses. Fuel is paid by using the club-provided credit card (only to be used for fuel). The price per gallon allowance is based on the self-serve fuel price at KMSO. Fuel charges at other airports exceeding the KMSO price will be collected from the pilot incurring the charge. Fuel charges may be reimbursed to pilots that self-pay. (Keep your receipts.)
How does insurance work?
The club carries fleet policy insurance on aircraft that includes basic liability and hull damage coverage for all registered club members. All pilots are encouraged to secure their own liability insurance coverage for additional protection in the event of an accident. Student pilots are also covered when training with a club-approved flight instructor and for any solo student pilot flights.
Does the club own the aircraft?
We do not own our aircraft. We have an exclusive dry-lease agreement with the aircraft owner(s).
Can student pilots learn to fly here?
The club is not a flight school. A student pilot may join the club and benefit from member-rates on aircraft. The club does not provide or pay for instruction. Students may separately hire a club-approved instructor. The instructor may or may not be a member of the club. Student pilots are accepted into the club on a case-by-case basis.
Can I take the plane on an overnight trip?
Yes, but please be respectful of other member needs and schedules. We encourage you to ask other frequent fliers before booking an extended overnight trip. We strive to provide availability and flexibility for aircraft use. Overnight trips are a special privilege.
